桜木すまいる

８月２２日午後から花園幼稚園のそばの桜木団地に行ってきました。この場所は津波が来た場所で、今でも水の跡が残っています。桜木スマイルは震災後の関わりやお手伝いを通して、始まった特別なミニストリーです。夏休み中お休みの桜木スマイルは来週から再開でしたが、今日はボランティアチームとプレスタートとして公園に出かけてきました。いつものお友達数人とおにごっこやキャッチボールをしてきました。団地にお住まいの高橋さんからは震災当時の貴重なお話しを聞くことができました。来週再開の桜木スマイルでたくさんの元気キッズとつながっていきたいと思います。祝福をお祈り下さい！

On August 22, we visited the park near the Hanazono Kindergarten.  This park located in the Sakuragi area where the Tsunami came through the river and flooded the area.  We still sees the line where water came about 4 feet high.  SBBC and Hope Miyagi had helped shoveling the dirt out, cleaning up, serving food, and more.  Now Sakuragi Smile Ministry has started to reach out to children and family in the Sakuragi community.  We played tag and catch with kids at the park on Tuesdays after school.  We had a chance to talked with the head honcho from the community, Mr. T.  He shared with us two photo albums full of pictures of 3.11.  They are precious souls who survived and kept safe through the Tsunami.  We appreciate your prayers as we make connection in the Sakuragi community and share the message of HOPE!
